Sehila M. Gonzalez de Vicente

Sehila M. Gonzalez de Vicente holds a PhD in Materials Physics from the Univ. Complutense de Madrid (Spain) and an MBA from the EOI Business School. She has more than 18 years experience in fusion technologies and materials. She joined IAEA in 2014 as the senior expert in Fusion with a role Nuclear Fusion Physicist. Since 2023 she is the Global Director of the fusion programme at Clean Air Task Force.

Before joining IAEA, she was responsible for the Fusion Materials development programme at EFDA (European Fusion Development Agreement) / Eurofusion, in Garching bei Munchen (Germany). In addition, she was appointed European Technical Coordinator of the International Fusion Energy Research Centre (IFERC) project between Europe and Japan as well as a member of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) Scientific Advisory Board in the research field of Energy.

She was the Chair of the 9th Annual Assessment of Fusion for Energy and Member of the Review Committee for the European Spallation Source Re-baseline Review. She is also member of the UK Fusion Technical Advisory Group and the IFMIF-DONES España Technical Advisory Committee.
